L2 (POLYESTER) FIBER

 

For natural and eco-friendly customers we offer L1 NATURAL BAMBOO (bast) Fiber, a enzymatically extracted natural bast fiber from the stem of a a bamboo plant, similar to flax. L1 is a very irregularily shaped fiber with a average of 5.8dtex and amazing softness similar to linen. The final process is done in France.


We supply this fiber both for worsted 2.4dtex 65mm or 88mm and ringspun 1.7dtex 45mm staple length. It is best combined with silk, fine cotton for ladies underwear, body wear, yoga and sportswear. Its moisture wicking properties makes it ideal for summer and winter applications. Latest development is the L2 / L5 super light t-shirt, creating a constant body temperature balance and instant moisture wicking during performance. The body remains dry, fit and high performing with L2 / L5 materials.


We also supply L2 particles in filaments for athlete performance clothing. Our main customers there are spinning factories in Europe and Asia, who supply the top 70 sports brands globally.

 

General Description

 

Märkische Faser and Litrax Switzerland introduce the L2 Thermo Bamboo Fiber Series, based on virgin polyester
enriched with pyrolized organic bamboo additives for enhanced and rapid insulation.

 

Garments made with L2 thermo bamboo fibers have high insulation properties (up to 3.2 clo), rapid warming effects
from +4°C. to over +27.8°Celsius. In summers, functional textiles on the basis of L2 thermo bamboo fibers provide
excellent moisture management and sweat permeability thanks to the unique properties and porousity of organic
bamboo compound. Bamboo bodywear does not stick on the body, feels soft, warm in winters and dry on body in
summers.
